So many people agree, and even the band agrees, that Steve Perry's voice is the key to the success of the band. True, they are exceptional musicians, each and every one. But they recognize the need to replicate the voice of Steve Perry or they wouldn't go to such great lengths to do so. I have seen every incarnation of the band live, and there is no contest! All do a good job of immitating him, but none have the soul in their voices that Steve does. Whatever the problems are, get over them and get back to where you all belong-on stage together. Back in the studio, too! Fantastic guitarist, fantastic pianist, fantastic rhythm section, all you need is to get Steve back and then I will again be right there, in the front row. No more imitations, please. Nice try, though!

Steve Perry will always be the face of Journey. Iv'e heard the other guy there's no comparison. Even though the other guy isn't a bad singer and he tends to mimic a young Steve Perry voice he doesn't have the soulfulness of Steve Perry. Listen to both of them singing the same song especially a love ballad and tell me you don't see the difference in emotion that is evoked when Perry sings. Ah the memories and the great music they made together. (Journey)

I think that Journey is Steve Perry but, Arnel in my opinon sounds just as good if not better than Steve Perry you guys rock, i love the new album.

First of all I think that Journey/w Steve Perry is the greatest band of all time. Next we would like the band restored to that original form. Steve with Jon and Neal could write the best songs and write them fast. I doubt that Arnel will be able to contribute to any song writing. Steves voice is the voice of Journey and with only him can the band live on. Neal needs to make amends (suck it up) and ask Steve Perry to come back to the band for the good of Journey and each of their careers.If they want the success they had before that is the only way. Please Neal do it for all of us fans. We love you all and want you back in true form.

Journey (w/Steve Perry) was, is, & always will be the greatest band ever. When Steve Perry sings his voice goes straight to my heart as if he is singing to me & only me. He has the most beautiful voice god has ever created. I wish he would come back into our lives with at least 1 more great love song for all us Steve Perry romantics. My love for Journey started when I was 15, by the time I was 17 I was living with roommates & working. I had Steve Perry's poster on my wall & even dated a man because he looked alot like Steve Perry (he didn't know that) & he played nothing but Journey music while we were together just for me. Today I suffer from several illnesses & insomnia so I come to my computer late at night & watch old videos & listen to his sweet sweet voice & it relaxes me. I LOVE STEVE PERRY, it you see this please give us more of your music & voice!
