Now in his 70s, Willie Nelson continues to tour and has performed in concerts and fundraisers with other Legacy Recordings musicians, including Bob Dylan and Dave Matthews. Country music singer Willie Nelson became the subject of a road movie when he starred in Honeysuckle Rose as a country singer whose life begins to unravel after he gets involved with the young daughter of his closest friend. Also starring Amy Irving and Dyan Cannon, the film deftly blended its many musical numbers into the dramatic storyline. Highlights of the score included “On The Road Again,” which became one of Nelson’s signature themes and was used again in the film Forrest Gump.

Speaking of birthdays, as we prepared to launch our year-long celebration for Willie's 75^th, it struck us we didn't actually know on which day to bake the cake. Why, we asked, do we keep seeing both April 29^th and April 30^th as Willie Nelson's birthday?
