As Seen On TV!

Willie Nelson began his career as a very successful Nashville songwriter in the 1960s. Penning such classics as "Hello Walls" for Faron Young and "Crazy" for Patsy Cline, Willie quickly established himself as one of the leading hit-makers in country music. His own recordings, however did not go over quite so well at first, and his solo career was dismissed by the Nashville community. In an effort to escape the establishment, Willie moved back to his native Texas in 1971, absorbed the hippie lifestyle, grew his hair out, and began to expand his own musical consciousness. Beginning his career at Columbia in 1975 with the epic Red Headed Stranger, Willie single-handedly changed the face of country music, adapting many styles and traits that remain hallmarks of the music today.

The Very Best Of Willie Nelson from Sony Nashville and Columbia/Legacy is 30 of Willie's greatest hits in an all new 2-CD set previously available only on TV. The set features his best solo work as well as duets with the likes of Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Julio Iglesias, all digitally remastered for optimum sound quality.
