Released only a month after his seventh studio album, Joe's Greatest Hits covers 1997's All That I Am through 2007's Ain't Nothin' Like Me, the albums the singer released on Jive. That would mean "I'm in Luv" -- a number six hit on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop chart -- is not included since it was featured on the singer's debut, released on Polydor in 1993. Apart from that unfortunate omission, the disc includes all but two of the charting singles ("My Love" and "Treat Her Like a Lady," both of which are inessential) from the five albums. An exclusive is added to entice those who have the hits' original sources: "Beautiful" is one of his sweeter tracks, but it's not up to the standard of his best-known material. While each of the albums from this phase of Joe's career has strong cuts that were not released as singles, this set is ideal for casual fans. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
