Often compared to Roberta Flack because of her deep, rich vocal tones, Baylor delivers an album that carries more of a contemporary Christian music feel versus gospel, but true fans of this talented vocalist should enjoy it just the same. Included are heartfelt ballads such as "Outside These Walls" and "It's O.K. to Cry," along with the up-tempo rocker "Take It Up" and the urban-textured track "Harambee," the latter featuring Baylor and Mr. "Butterfly Kisses," Bob Carlisle. Her cover of the James Taylor pop classic "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" has its moments. But the real highlight of this project is Baylor's duet with the Winans' Marvin Winans on the soulful title track, "My Everything." Overall, just hearing Helen Baylor's voice is worth the price of admission. ~ Tim A. Smith, All Music Guide
