Percy Faith

Percy Faith was one of the most popular easy listening recording artists of the '50s and '60s. Not only did he have a number of hit albums and singles under his own name, but Faith was responsible for arranging hits by Tony Bennett, Doris Day, Johnny Mathis, and Burl Ives, among others, as the musical director for Columbia Records in the '50s.

I concur that the stereo 1958/1959 LP recordings of "Music of Christmas", and "Music of Christmas - Volume 2" (aka "Hallelujah") are among the best of all time. I have both "Music of Christmas" and "Christmas Is..." in my collection and have used them every holiday season to promote the wonder and magic of Christmas. I recently was able to purchase a used CD of "The Music of Christmas - 2" but would LOVE to have a remastered set of all three. Trust me, people WOULD purchase this. I don't know how many have come to my house, hear the music and ask who it was that was playing. Of course, I tell them and when they ask where to buy it, sadly I have to tell them it can no longer truly be found. Now, if I were a salesman, I would have already sold over 50 copies this Christmas eve! Please Legacy, remaster and release this. You have lost so much in potential sales not to mention a timeless classic! Thank you. I look forward to seeing the finished product in the season to come.

The stereo 1958/1959 LP recordings of "Music of Christmas", and "Music of Christmas - Volume 2" (aka "Hallelujah") are among the best of all time; HOWEVER; I am waiting for LEGACY Recordings to REMASTER and re-release the remastered "Music of Christmas". The CD version released to the public is of HORRIBLE recording quality. All of the high-end frequency response is gone. You cannot hear the snare drums on "Good King Wenceslas" on the CD, while you can on the LP! Columbia Records - you owe the public a properly remastered version of "Music of Christmas". How many millions have you sold of this fine LP in 50 years? Please reamaster the first LP and re-release the already remastered 2nd LP. Might as well throw in a remaster of "Christmas Is" and make it a 3 CD-set? Please, Please Legacy, remaster and release this. Thanks so much.
