A brother-and-sister duo who enjoyed popularity in the contemporary Christian market, LaRue comprised the talents of Natalie and Phillip LaRue. The siblings burst onto the Christian music circuit in the late '90s with a self-titled debut, which sparked a hit with the single "Reason." LaRue returned with an edgy, more mature sophomore effort titled Transparent in 2001, and the subsequent Reaching found the duo experimenting with elements of alternative rock one year later.
