The six sons of Sally and O'Kelly Isley became one of the greatest soul and funk bands of the 60s and 70s. Enjoying huge success during their lengthy career, The Isley Brothers delivered such hits as "Twist And Shout", which was later covered by The Beatles.

On June 6, 2010, Marvin Isley of died at the age of 56 in Chicago of as-yet-undisclosed causes.

Marvin Isley is the youngest of brothers in the group called The Isley Brothers, as well as a bass guitarist. Before Marvin joined the band in 1973, the Isley Brothers were hard-touring soul legends. Their 1959 rave-up "Shout" first propelled them on to AM radio, and their next big hit, 1962's "Twist and Shout" sold three million copies and was famously covered by the Beatles.
