Rosemary Clooney Greatest Hits

RCA Victor s version of a Rosemary Clooney hits compilation is contractually obligated to ignore most of her chart hits (those occurred during the Columbia years), but Greatest Hits does include a lot of great material: clever Nelson Riddle arrangements of "Shine On, Harvest Moon" and "I Get Along Without You Very Well" and brassy Pérez Prado accompaniments on "Mack the Knife" and "Magic Is the Moonlight." Unlike The Girl Singer (released two years later), however, Greatest Hits includes nothing in the way of liner notes or pictures. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
